PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE TO BIDDERS AND CONTRACTORS
RESURFACING AND TRAFFIC STRIPING AROUND CHARLES HENDERSON HIGH SCHOOL TROY, ALABAMA

Separate sealed bids for RESURFACING & TRAFFIC STRIPING on the above referenced projects will be received by the Troy City Board of Education at the office of the Troy City Board of Education located at, 358 Elba Highway, Troy, Alabama 36079, until 10:00 A.M., (Monday), (June) (29), 2026, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The principal items of work include the resurfacing and traffic striping. The project will be considered as one project submitted as one bid that must be completed in 50 CALENDAR DAYS.
The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Form of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined and/or obtained at the following location:

Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Troy City Board of Education, or copies thereof. All bidders must be a licensed contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must submit satisfactory evidence of license with bid. Bid envelopes not bearing a Contractor’s License Number will not be opened. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities.
A CASHIER’S CHECK (drawn on an Alabama bank) or bid bond for 5% of the amount bid (maximum of $10,000.00) and made payable to the Troy City Board of Education must accompany each bid as evidence of good faith.
Only bids from contractors or material suppliers listed on the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) approved list of contractors and material suppliers or licensed general contractors who specialize in asphalt or paving shall be accepted. All contractors must be licensed in Alabama and be able to provide substantial proof and references of similar projects upon request.
The contractor shall meet all Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) Bonding and License requirements as well as applicable laws, ordinances, and codes of the U.S. Government, the State of Alabama, and relevant municipality, and the COUNTY, and, specifically and without limitation, shall comply with all provisions of the Beason-Hammond Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, commonly referred to as the Immigration Act.
The right to reject any or all bids is reserved.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
