NOTICE OF SALE OF
THE EMA BUILDING
Pike County, Alabama will sell by sealed bid the parcel of real estate, together with all buildings and improvements thereon, situated at 216 South Oak Street, Troy, Alabama 36081, commonly known as the EMA Building, and described as follows:
A lot in the City of Troy, Pike County, Alabama, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the southwest corner of Block Number 12, on the east side of South Oak Street at the intersection of South Oak Street and Youngblood Street, running thence north along the east side of South Oak Street 100 feet; thence east 80 feet; thence south 100 feet to Youngblood Street; thence west along the north side of Youngblood Street 80 feet to point of commencement, being the same property conveyed to Oliver W. Brantley by M. Glenn Rose and wife by deed dated May 5, 1966 and recorded in the Probate Office of Pike County, Alabama in Deed Book 102 at page 351.

The property and building will be available for inspection upon appointment with the Pike County Commission Office. Contact McKenzie Wilson, Pike County Administrator, at 334-566-6374 to make arrangements for inspection.
The real estate and building are being sold “AS IS” without warranty of any type or description. Pike County, Alabama will convey a clear title to the buyer. The buyer will be responsible for any and all closing costs.
Sealed bids will be opened on April 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Office of the Pike County Commission, 900 S. Franklin Drive, Troy, Alabama. Bids may be delivered by mail to Pike County Commission, P. O. Drawer 1147, Troy, Alabama 36081 or by email to
mwilson@pikecommission.com. Bids may also be hand delivered prior to the bid opening. Pike County, Alabama reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
In the event that Pike County, Alabama accepts a bid, the closing of the sale to the buyer must be held within thirty (30) days from the date of the bid acceptance.
Rejection or acceptance of any bids will occur at the Pike County Commission regular meeting to be held on April 13, 2026, commencing at 6:00 p.m..
